The University of Tennessee to give Gore honorary degree

MARTIN, Tenn. - Former vice president and Nobel Peace Prize winner Al Gore will receive an honorary doctoral degree from the University of Tennessee.
The degree - an Honorary Doctor of Laws and Humane Letters in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology - will be given to Gore at the spring commencement exercises of the College of Arts and Sciences on May 14, where he will be the featured speaker.
“Vice President Gore’s career has been marked by visionary leadership, and his work has quite literally changed our planet for the better,” UT Knoxville Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek said in a statement. “He is among the most accomplished and respected Tennesseans in history, and it is fitting that he should be honored by the flagship education institution of his home state.”
University trustees approved the award Friday while meeting at the UT Martin campus. The proposal previously was approved by the UT Board of Trustees Academic Affairs and Student Success Committee.
Entertainer and philanthropist Dolly Parton and former Sen. Howard H. Baker Jr. are the only other recipients of honorary degrees from UT Knoxville.

Another lying politician, nice looking young man, but so corrupt and continuing in the evil way of getting everything he can without earning it. Clinton was evil also, his wife too, but they dis clean up a bit, but she is on a roll to shaft all of America’s friends, UK etc. I just wonder who exactly makes a politician, a nice smile or nicely dressed, I really like Michelle

God’s word exposes the enemies hand. The father of lies can do nothing more than that,lie. His children can only do what they see their father do. It is not surprising to see evil men honored by their own brethren.
We need to awake to righteousness and continue to shine the light on the darkness which is in the world through deceit until that day appointed by the one true God and creator. Be of great courage good brethren God is not slack concerning these evil men, and will repay them according to their deeds. Be strong and vigilant, hold fast to the truth.

I would like to see a vote of Tennesseans about that…Gore has been discredited by most everyone except lunatic liberals…But why should he care…He made his fortune…and is still stuffing his bank account…

I wonder who ‘Owl’Gore is respected by in Tennessee?
Remember that he could not even carry his own home state against Bush.
I also wonder just how much Federal money U.T. is recieving for global warming research.
I also find it amazing that all these organizations that that have honoered Gore.
Seem to overlook that he is running a toxic waste dump on his beloved family farm in Carthage.
