The Shock of Barack

March 31st, 2010

Robin of Berkeley

I’ve been feeling funky since Black Sunday, the day of the health care debacle. As a therapist, I’m usually able to identity my feelings. But this one had left me stumped.

I went through the usual laundry list of emotions: Am I depressed? (A little, but that’s not it.) Worried, scared? (Yes, but who isn’t?) Angry (Very, but that’s still not what’s bugging me.)

It took a conversation with a conservative friend, Nancy, for me to pinpoint the feeling. Nancy told me that a Jewish co-worker, a staunch Obama supporter, was feeling “shell shocked” by Obama’s vilifying Israel.

Bingo. That’s what it is: stunned, shell shocked, traumatized.

But it’s not PTSD — post traumatic stress disorder — because then Obama would be ancient history. It’s trauma happening right here, right now, at lightning speed.

Trauma means witnessing something that humans are not designed to see, a horror that is more than the self can absorb. The brutality of war, a gruesome crime scene, the sudden death of a loved one. Or the evil that unfolds through unchecked power yielded by megalomaniacs.

For me, trauma was that cloudless November day, years ago, when I exited an Oakland restaurant at noon and soon thereafter, lay prone on the concrete, bloody and broken.

Just moments before, I had looked into the eyes of a man who didn’t know that I was human, or who knew but didn’t care. I saw something sinister in him, but ignored my gut. I was still steeped in liberal political correctness and didn’t want to appear racially insensitive.

When I see what Obama is doing to this country, how he is treating its citizens, I’m reminded of the man who mugged me. I think that both are constitutionally incapable of seeing our humanity. And each day that Obama is in office, he communicates this same deadly message to the masses — that opponents are not human.

This would explain the burgeoning of hate and even violence towards those who deign to disagree. And why Tea Party members and conservatives are being targeted, as well as entire countries like Israel.

And this would illuminate why Obama is unfazed while the economy crashes. And why he cavalierly demonizes Israel, putting millions of Israelis at risk. And it explains why Obama mocks conservatives who are legitimately worried about this administration’s violating fundamental rights.

But how could Obama see us? Did anyone in his childhood ever see him?

Did little Barry’s needs factor into his mother’s decision to shlep him to Indonesia to live with her and her alcoholic second husband? And how much maternal love was on display when she dragged him back home to Hawaii and then abandoned him for good?

Did Obama’s humanity matter to Grandpa Stanley and Frank Marshall Davis when they sat around drinking, talking trash talk about women, and telling dirty jokes to the discomfited little Barry?

What was Stanley thinking giving Barry over to Davis, an alleged pedophile and Communist, for mentoring? And did Davis do the most unspeakable act of violation and dehumanization to Barry, as the teenage Obama hints at in the poem, “Pop”?

Pop takes another shot, neat,
Points out the same amber
Stain on his shorts that I've got on mine, and
Makes me smell his smell, coming
From me; he switches channels, recites an old poem. . .
Asks for a hug, as I shrink. . .

For someone to survive a difficult childhood intact, he needs at least one person to see his humanity. It’s best if the person is a close relative, but a child can endure with the help of someone else. An attentive coach, counselor, neighbor, or teacher can work wonders.

Who mirrored Obama’s humanity back to him? Who looked into the young Barry’s eyes and reflected back the man he was meant to be? Who honored and cherished the human being inside?

I’ll tell you who — no one. His family groomed him and sculpted him. They projected onto him who they wanted him to be. In later years, other egotistical father figures, like Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers, scripted his Messiah-like role.

But was there someone who loved and honored Obama for who he was? No.

And that’s why Obama cannot see you or me. He cannot respond to the pain and suffering he is inflicting. He may, in fact, derive satisfaction by the act of revenge.

Years ago, I came face to face with a man who also didn’t know that I existed. He had no qualms about injuring me and leaving me lying wounded in the middle of the street.

I wasn’t a person to him. I was nothing. This is where all evil begins: the dehumanizing of another.

From what I have seen this last year, Obama shows no ability to walk in another person’s shoes. This would require empathy and sensitivity, traits that are nowhere to be found.

Frankly, every time I see Obama, I catch a glimpse of the man who mugged me.

And that, to me, is the true danger and horror and shock of Barack.

I agree with whoever wrote the shock story above, I do feel sorry for the idiot, but he was made to feel the way he feels, and in my humble opinion, the ones we should feel sorry for are the citizens, they are not getting any feedback from him that amounts to anything. The lies this idiot tells are so tremendous, never a need to find jobs, American citizens are used to having a job, to making enough to feed the family and not having to go to food banks, this is why I, am old person veteran am so very concerned about America today, he has no compassion for the unborn, he has only compassion for his own physical needs and as bisexual he seems to be able to fulfill these needs using some citizens, kissing and hugging people who are not his family, I myself, if he approached me, would back away from his kisses, I would rather he ignore me, which as I obviously do not know him, and would rather not, keep on being very, very concerned, especially when people say we can make it until the next election in 2012, which I do not agree, I do not think America will be around in 2012, rapture hopefully. God Bless America, God Bless all who are posting and care about America.

  2. Lesley Lawson Says:

I was just about to send you this article, Bob, as I read it on another site. Glad I checked here first. You are always on top of things. Thanks!

  3. thistle Says:

Another excellent article by Robin. Thanks for putting it in here. :-)

  4. Robert DeBeaux Says:

I don’t like the guy either, but we should really ask the writer where he gets this personal information. If he knows so much about Barry, share it.
This idle speculation will be written, but come on folks, Obama as the victim that became the worst President in the history of the US?

I am taking everything with a grain of salt. (very large grain) I have salt to spare. Want some?

  5. RSA9999 Says:

Robert, I’ll take some of that salt. I don’t buy the “therapist’s” explanation, like I don’t buy man made global warming. Obama-bin-lyin has led a privileged life all the way up to potus BECAUSE of the support given to him. Being mugged by an illegal president is way more traumatic to me than the mugging the writer suffered.

How much revenge does he have to exact to feel satisfied? This man indeed has a psychological problem but it is not caused by alleged childhood trauma. This is an insult to the many truly traumatized people who don’t go to these criminal lengths. It is his cold, calculating, narcissistic, sociopathic character.

Even more reason to thoroughly background check a candidate for the most powerful office in the land.

  6. French Canadian Says:

Oh boy! This recovering liberal has still a long way to go. This is pure liberal thinking.

Nothing irritates me more than when I see in a courtroom, a killer who murdered brutally a child or a woman and the “liberal” lawyers come along and say: “This guy is a victim, look at his past; his childhood was horrific.” And the murderer gets away with 2 years minus one day… and he only does 1/6 of his time. When he gets out, he kills again.

I know many people who had horrible chilhood and they are now compassionate adults who would do no harm to no one, because they know how it feels. You are not responsible for your childhood, but you are responsible for your adult life and choices. Unless you are really mentally ill… you are responsible of your actions.

Soetoro graduated from Harvard, became a lawyer and ended up as the “alleged” POTUS. He had help from many people. He chose to hang around with these evil people… it was his adult choices. So he is guilty, unless it is proven that he is really mentally ill.

Now, if he is really mentally ill, what are they waiting to kick him out of the White House? How can America accept to be governed by a mentally deficient idiot? His place is in an asylum.

But I don’t think he is mentally ill, he is just wicked, he knows darn well what he is doing and he is enhoying every minutes of it. He belongs in jail.

I have no pity for him, but I do have pity for the American people and for the whole world as a matter of fact… the actions of this bum will affect all nations of the world. God help us all!

  7. French Canadian Says:

I meant: He is ENJOYING every minite of it.

  8. thistle Says:

Ditto what you’ve all said, but you have to admit that Robin’s stories get the brain cells working. She is a recovering liberal, so maybe we should give her some leeway for that (a definite disadvantage for her, lol). Truthfully, in my opinion, I don’t think Obama is that smart. He is being directed by others, like Soros et al. He was chosen because he’s just evil enough to not ask questions and follow orders, whatever those orders are, not matter how insane…..the perfect evil puppet to dish out the perfect evil agenda to take America down. I hope that when Obama goes down, they will find the links to Soros and he goes down too.

  9. Larry M. Meyer Says:

“Ladies and Gentlemen of the Grand Jury!”
“WE the People, the Citizen Legislators” are making a Terrible Mistake that I have previously Posted here on AGJ.
The Citizens of America are Proceeding with this Fight to remove this Vile, Fascist, Progressive Regime from our Capitol and Replace it with “THE Representative, Constitutional Republic” that was given to us by the “Founding Fathers!!”
The PROBLEM is: There no longer IS A CONSTITUTION of the United States of America!!
“O’BUMMERCARE, the IRS and Units of the National Guard to ENFORCE the LAW?? The Executive Order that was signed to Enforce Martial Law, the FEMA Camps that stand prepared to accept dissidents??? The Take-Over of Student Loans, The Take-Over of the Automotive, Banking and Financial Sectors of our Economy??? Systematic losses of Freedoms and Liberties and Personal Choices???
FOLKS–WAKE UP and SMELL the HORSES—T??
WE WILL LOSE THIS FIGHT if we do NOT have a substantial Change in ATTITUDE!!!
We have a GUTTLESS, COWARDLY Judicial and Military, who have apparently forgotten the “Constitutional Oath” that they Swore, or no longer care about “The Land of the FREE, and the Home of the BRAVE!”

  10. thistle Says:

Larry….and your suggestions are????? We already know that the constitution is no longer working for ‘We The People.’ So what’s your solution? If you have another peaceful method of taking our country back, then let’s have it. The people in here are doing the best they can and I do NOT believe it will all be in vain. More and more people are standing up and letting themselves be heard. More and more people are demanding that Obama/Soetoro prove he’s eligible. This has all happened because of groups like this, behind the scenes as well as out in front, making a difference to wake people up.

  11. French Canadian Says:

    Thistle,

Shut down America with a national strike of a week long. They will have to hear you. And don’t come back till they hear you. It worked for France recently, Sarkozy backed up from the Cap and Trade bill.

  12. Follow the Constitution Says:

French, I have been saying this for over a year.

If enough people did this it would bring everything to a standing halt! In addition to that if several million could show up in DC at the same time and refuse to leave until things are corrected it would bring everything in DC to a halt as no one could get around with that many people sitting arounde refusing to move.

The power of the people have all the power if they just choose to use it!

  13. French Canadian Says:

Right on the dot FTC. What government fears most is the citizens. When citizens decide to united their efforts in a nationwide strike, they are left POWERLESS.

  14. thistle Says:

FrenchC and FTC….do you mean, not work? If so, my husband and I are both retired now, so we won’t make much difference there. If you mean, no banking, shopping, etc., well we can stop doing that for a week…no problem. We can’t afford to go to DC (would love to though)…we are in CA, clear across the continent.

  15. French Canadian Says:

Believe it or not, but Quebeckers are starting to organize a general provincial strike against the new budget that the government presented yesterday… lol.
Quebec is such a socialist province, isn’t it amazing that these socialists are getting fed-up will all the new taxes? It blows my mind!

Quebec government is rising taxes on everything: electricity, fuel, school fees, provincial taxes, etc. You name it, everything is getting new taxes. They even want to put a “moderated ticket” on Health care. The first year it will be 25$ for a consultation, the next year 100$ and the third 200$… lol. So much for socialized medecine! I still can’t believe that Quebeckers are finally awakening. I will believe it when I will see the strike. We have the biggest debt of all 10 provinces… we have so many social programs, I couldn’t even enumerate them here.

  16. Larry M. Meyer Says:

Thistle; “IT’s all about MONEY, and the Good “French Canadian” is on the right track!!
The best way to “Starve a Beast” is to cut off the Nourishment!! AS the Citizens need to remain Civil and Peaceful in fighting the Monster, IS to “DRY UP the FUNDING!!”
Buy NO Food, Clothing, Gasoline or other Commodities, if you pay TAXES quarterly, don’t pay them, Take a three week vacation,e.t.c!!
We cannot condone a Revoloution or Uprising–but Stop the Spending by NOT providing a Revenue Stream!!
The remainder of ideas are Open to discussion!!

  17. thistle Says:

Ok, it all makes perfect sense, but when will this strike be? Is it the week of April 15th that one of the other members was talking about earlier? Just want to be sure that we are all on the same page here. Thanks.

  18. French Canadian Says:

    Thistle,

I mean this kind of strike:

Two million Greek workers strike against austerity measures
    http://www.sott.net/articles/show/203624-Two-million-Greek-workers-strike-against-austerity-measures

    Excerpts:

The mass action brought the country to a virtual standstill. All flights to and from Greece - with the exception of emergency flights - were cancelled, as air traffic controllers joined the action, forcing the closure of the nation’s main airport, Athens International. Public transportation was severely disrupted, with the Athens metro and bus services running only a skeleton service to allow strikers to get to demonstrations in the city centre. Trains and ferry services ground to a halt.

Public schools, tax offices, courtrooms and other government buildings were closed nationwide, as were public hospitals and other state-run facilities. All the main archaeological and tourist sites were forced to close, including the Acropolis in Athens. Media workers also struck. Journalists, members of the national journalists’ union, held a 24-hour strike and as a result no newspapers was published on Thursday.
    Etc.

  19. goldie wilbur Says:

I really don’t know what to say, no funding for the government would be a great idea, but for everyone who did it, severl would cave and not do, then the ones who did would be attacked by IRS and ACORN whatever name they are using, I have read several places, do not fund and the government will run out of resources, but as I depend on Social Security and a VA disability, guess I am selfish, now need car repairs, $100. and really difficult for me. Guess only thing called for is prayer and I do mean a lot. God Bless All Caring Posts.

  20. French Canadian Says:

    Thistle,

Type: “Call For Total National Strike April 15-18″ on google, you will get 7,290 links to fill you in.

  21. thistle Says:

Wow, that’s something on the Greek strike. But it would take some time to get this out to everyone in the USA to participate in and I don’t know if we could do it in time. April 15th is only a couple weeks away. Thanks for the info FrenchCanadian.

  22. live oak Says:

I don’t feel sorry for Kenya Boy at all. I want him out of the WH and in solitary confinement until his trial. After that he deserves the death penalty. It’s very simple. If you let him go free, he’ll terrorize another country and help kill thousands of people just like he helped Odinga.
    Soros deserves the same.

  23. live oak Says:

I have to say one more thing. Kenya Boy will need to stay in solitary confinement if they decide life in prison, and I hope not. We’ve paid enough for this human disaster. He is a muslim and he said he will side with the muslims. If you think of all the things he’s been privy to….there is no other choice. I would hate to see our tax dollars going to support and feed him in solitary.
I know I’m jumping the gun…it’s going to be a long battle.
I refuse to capitalize the word “muslim”

I support such a strike and think its a great idea.He will implement Martial Law within 24 hours of such a strike and then we can get down to the business of taking our Country back.Talk is cheap. Action takes guts. We must understand that these Criminals will not just disappear without a whimper. They have worked for over 60 years for this day and will not just simply stand down. This reminds me of an old song I once heard. IF YOU EVER NEED A HELPING HAND JUST ROLL UP YOUR SLEVE AND LOOK ATH THE END OF YOUR ARM. Godspeed.

  26. Gumply Says:

http://taxfree15th.com They are calling for a strike on the 15th of April through the 18th. No work, no buying, no anything. Just stay home and protest. There is a video out there about it also. Watched it last night but can’t remember where.

Anarchists Plan War On April 15th Tea Parties
    http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/2010/03/violent-anarchists-plan-war-on-april-15th-tea-parties/

    WARNING: Be on the lookout–
    Bring your cameras.

Violent anarchists are planning on infilitrating and sabotaging the Tea Party Protests on April 15th.

The Jawa Report posted this call to arms from the violent anarchists at Infowars today:

    Crash the tea parties!

On April 15th thousands of right-wingers will attend rallies in cities and towns across the United States. The organizers of this nationwide day of protest call it a tea party. This tea party movement that emerged only a year ago is a coalition of conservatives, anti-Semites, fascists, libertarians, racists, constitutionalists, militia men, gun freaks, homophobes, Ron Paul supporters, Alex Jones conspiracy types and American flag wavers. If the tea party movement continues to grow in size and strength there is a big chance they will dominate this country in the near future. If the tea party movement takes over this country they will really hurt poor people by getting rid of social programs like food stamps, unemployment benefits, disability benefits, student aid, free health care, etc. The tea party movement will say these programs must be gotten rid of because hard-working taxpayers cannot afford to pay for these things especially when the economy is in a depression. There are three options we have with the tea party movement:

    1. Organize counter-protests against the tea party demonstrations, same time, same place. This is probably the best option. We need to get in the streets on April 15th and show the tea party movement that there are lots of people out there who oppose their agenda.

    2. Get individual tea party protesters to leave the right-wing and move to the left politically. That would involve passing out stuff like this at the tea party demonstrations: http://www.anarchist-studies.org/node/299

    3. Ignore the tea party movement. This is the worst option because without anyone opposing them they could easily gain power.

  28. Gumply Says:

The article made me sick to my stomach. Robin may be a recovering liberal but this article wreaks of die hard do gooder disease. Maybe she slipped back into her liberal footings. What comes next blaming us for making him hate us.

He is just plain evil and he is enjoying everything he is doing. It is not innocent behavior it is deliberate and acted out with pre-meditated malice. I’ll be happy when it is all over and he is in prison.

  29. live oak Says:

    Me too!

Thanks for the link . I enjoyed reading the truth. Has anybody ever seen this Clowns Harvard Degree? The few People that knew him have all said he was lazy and preoccupied. I cant wait to see what kind of evidence Pastor Manning has on this Homeboy. The CIA link is becoming more real by the day. We’ve been had America. The sad part is it looks like the better part of our Illegitimate Government is on board with it.Lord please help us.Godspeed.

  31. Follow the Constitution Says:

French…think of the bright side. We will have all those FEMA camps to stick those deadbeats in that don’t want to earn their own way and want to live off free handouts! LOL

  32. Follow the Constitution Says:

We can change the name from FEMA camps to…Socialized Camps of America! LOL

  33. French Canadian Says:

    Indeed… lol

  34. Native Texan Says:

Live Oak #23, you said that the usurper should be put in solitary confinement but would hate for the tax payers to pay to feed him. Well in muslim countries he wouldn’t get fed unless his family provided the food for him. By the way I think a week long strick would be appropriate, maybe even longer to drive home the point.

  35. roderick Says:

nothing shocking about the idiot. he is conceited, self-righteous and effiminate, i have a co-worker of mine who voted for theretard and he told me the other day that bo is a one term

  36. live oak Says:

    #34 Native Texan,
I am concerned about all of our country’s secrets he’s been privy to….the national security, and all the other criminals he would talk to. What would be ideal is Kenya Boy and the wife in the same cell.

A strike is fine with me; I just don’t want my fellow citizens hurt or killed. I wouldn’t put anything past this regime. They are evil to the core.

  37. French Canadian Says:

    Resign! Repeal! Renew!
    http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/21538

    Excerpts:

The deadly trio of Obama Pelosi and Reid, along with the brain-dead Democrats in Congress threaten the very existence of the nation. I am concerned that waiting until the November elections will be to wait too long. I no longer believe their agenda to be merely partisan politics. I believe theirs is a deliberate effort to destroy the nation.

The practical actions that must be pursued as soon as possible include a legal challenge to the president’s place of birth, an effort he has reportedly fought with an expenditure exceeding a million dollars. A challenge must be made to the healthcare bill which legal scholars deem to be clearly unconstitutional.

  38. rhcrest Says:

Well wouldn’t it be nice to have a national strike and a velvet revolution at the same time? I was disappointed at the comments when Bob posted the story about the velvet revolution. Everyone just kept commenting about the GOTFR. Only a couple of people commented about the revolution. Here’s the link again if anyone is interested. http://commieblaster.com/velvet-revolution/index.html.

Just think about how effective that would be. Millions of poeple in Washington to physically shut it down and those who remain at home striking at the same time.

  39. French Canadian Says:

    rhcrest,

I agree with you. We should ask BOB to post it again. The velvet revolution combine with a national strike is a sure winner.

“There are far more US citizens than US government officials and this fact is what corrupt politicians fear most. If one million American Velvet Revolutionaries were to protest Obama for a week, it would paralyze Washington”.

  40. Truther1 Says:

That post is in the archives FC…

    http://americangrandjury.org/?page=2

Personally I don’t see the impact of this. My opinion is that they will continue to ignore us and make us look like fools, just like they have the Tea Party movement.

  41. rhcrest Says:

Thanks French Canadian. I think we have a winner of an idea too because not everyone will be able to make it to DC but they will still be able to have an effect. I know there is already a website for strike on April 15 per above post but we need to get the word out quickly for this. I wonder what Bob thinks about this idea? BTW it seems like they feel threatened by the Tea Party people per your post above. I just went back and reread it. Cool!

  42. French Canadian Says:

“Personally I don’t see the impact of this. My opinion is that they will continue to ignore us and make us look like fools, just like they have the Tea Party movement”. Thruter 1 (#40)

Are you kidding? How will they be able to ignore you? You will paralyse D.C. and the whole country for a week or more till you get what you want.

No, this is a winner. Every nations who did similar things were not ignored… why should it be different in America? Don’t worry… it will work.

  43. live oak Says:

DC is a very small city. All you have to do is stay in the streets. they can’t go anywhere. it has to be when Congress is in session or it won’t work.

  44. live oak Says:

    #34. Native Texan,
I’m back because there is a point I failed to make. Kenya Boy is not halal. I’ve seen photos of him eating burgers and ice cream and other things, and he would be in our prison system. It would be our tax dollars paying for his food and shelter in an 8X11 cell.
    I think we’ve had enough.

  45. rhcrest Says:

    live oak,

when is congress going to be back in session? Do you think somehow we could organize something like this?

  46. rhcrest Says:

This is very interesting… why no one invades Switzerland. http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/754.html
