TD

Ted Kennedy is no longer among the breathing. I guess money fails to buy some things in life, such as a youthful new body.

You should never talk ill of the dead, but of course people do it all the time.

So what can I say nice about Ted Kennedy?

I am thinking… Give me a few minutes.

Well, my mother always said, “if you can’t say something nice about a person then don’t say anything at all.”

Did you hear what Roger Simon (Pajamas Media) said about Kennedy?
Source:

A literary agent of mine – a well known woman at the time – had been one of the women at the party with Teddy and Mary Jo Kopechne (1940-1969). I would try to probe her about what happened, whether Kennedy had been drinking, etc., but she would never speak about it, as if sworn to some kind of secrecy.

I put in Kopechne’s birth and death dates because, from the perspective of these many years, they surprise me. She was within days of her twenty-ninth birthday, older than I expected. Teddy himself was thirty-seven. These were not teenagers out on some drunken spree, who can be (somewhat) excused for their actions, but adults. Kennedy left the scene of a fatal accident for which he was at least partly responsible. Then he used his extraordinary power to get off, spending the rest of his career in pseudo-remorse, playing the most liberal of Senators. It was always an act to me, even when I agreed with him politically. This was not a life well lived.

Dems Call for ObamaCare Renamed as Kennedy Health Bill
    http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/14121

    Excerpts:

In order to place a tearful face on ObamaCare and more easily ram it down the throats of the American people, Democrats are planning to elicit sympathy over the recent death of Uber-leftist Senator Ted Kennedy (D-MA). Some months ago Rush Limbaugh was one of, if not the, first to say that in order to push through the draconian, anti-life and anti-human ObamaCare the death of Kennedy might serve the Democrats well.

  2. Follow the Constitution Says:

The way I see it is that now Kennedy is gone, there is no longer any rush to ram it through! The rush would have been to get it shoved through while he was alive so he can finally see his long term dream finally becoming a reality. But now he is gone…so WHO CARES!!! IF they ever get it right and where it will be without government involvement, then they can call the bill anything they want for all I care!

I remember someone once saying, “My mother told me to never say anything about the dead unless it was good… well, he’s dead and that’s good.” Not thst I agree with that statement, of course. ;-)

    God had to fight the
Devil long and hard to get rid of this one. Wonder if Mary Jo kicked him into HELL.

  5. French Canadian Says:

Anyone here knows why Americans were going banana on the Kennedy? That puzzled me. I never like the Kennedy. But they seemed to have the same effect on people than Usurper Obama did.

I attended a Town Hall Meeting tonight on Health Care. About 250/300 local citizens. Local media coverage, etc. Very productive meeting. Seniors indicated they do not trust AARP any longer. Our speakers and representatives stated “nothing but lies” coming out of DC in regards to Health Care Deform. Appeared not one attendee was for this government controlled health take over. One of the doctors on the panel asked “So how can malpractice reform improve health care? Consider what Texas has experienced … In total, more than 7000 new doctors have come to the state. …
Interesting discussion lead to what we can do NOW to stop this madness - support the NJ and VA Governor races to be held in 09! Support “change” in NJ and VA even if you are out of state, show your support. And now we can add support for the MA Senator to that list, right?

  7. Robert Says:

I think they should use a urinal as Teddy’s headstone. It just seems more sanitary.

I had to laugh at Andrea Mitchell tonight when she referred to “the original Kennedy brothers”. Sounded like a reference to a has-been rock ‘n’ roll group.

I wonder if Mary Jo’s family was at the funeral? We all know there are two “types” of “Law”. “Rich Law” and “Law”. “Rich Law” seemed to protect the “Kennedy” family for decades, especially with the recent Palm Beach “Rape” fiasco. It also protected the Catholic Church to the tune of $50 million dollars for “cover ups” in child molestation charges over decades. Booze, hot woman and cold wine seem to be the main attraction here. I was never really impressed with any of their “attempts” at politics. Lots of money, time and lives wasted though. They were “good” at that. Things haven’t changed much in two thousand years, except, we have cell phones now.
