Secession Rally - Draw A Line In The Sand
August 26th, 2009
Gerry Donaldson has invited you to the event ‘Sovereignty or Secession Rally’ on Draw A Line In The Sand!
Time: August 29, 2009 from 11am to 12:30pm
Location: South Capital Steps in Austin, TX
Organized By: Gerry Donaldson
Event Description:

Texans will converge on Austin to deliver a petition to Restore America by Demanding our Sovereignty or we will be forced to call a vote for Secession.
This is straight out of the Declaration of Independence and our right to “alter or abolish” our government if it has, “after a long train of abuses” refused to protect the rights of the people.
At present, the Texas Nationalist Movement has a petition with 1 Million signatures directly calling for a vote of secession.
We are calling for an orderly process that will allow our federal government to fall back in line with the Constitution. We are reclaiming our states rights and our individual rights.
With 37 states moving for Sovereignty in resolutions, we are just stepping this up from a weak request to a demand that we be returned our rights.
So far 12 states are mirroring our “Sovereignty or Secession” movement.
We must stand up and be counted or we will find ourselves in another government. Either we restore America, we will live in a Marxist dictatorship, or we will secede and start over again.
Go to ** www.drawaline.org ** for more information and to sign the petition. We need to push this massively or there will be a vote for secession immediately!

I sure hope that the secession will take place. We really have to dissolve this scary evil govt run by a usurper and evil czars and his mindless army minions. This is the most scary govt we have ever had in history.

Speedy,
Don’t you think that regaining State’s sovereignty would be much better than secession? Secession would weaken America (IMHO)… sovereignty of the States would make a better USA, still a united nation but with little possibility for White House corruption.

Seems like we tried that secession thingy one other time. It got kinda messy, IIRC.
All this talk about birth certificates got me to thinking. Abe Lincoln falsified his birth record (family Bible) to show that he was born in `1809 unstead of 1804. This would have made him two years younger than his younger sister. It also made him a NBC of Kentucky instead of North Carolina, where he was actually born. I have been to his birthplace and to the homeplace of Nancy Hanks, his mother. Abe was born in what is now Bostic, in Rutherford County. He was the illegitimate child of Abraham Enloe. Nancy was the illegitimate child of Michael Tanner and Lucy Hanks. Lucy never married Michael and later abandomed Nancy and another younger daughter to elope with Henry Sparrow to Tennessee. Nancy was placed in the Enloe hoe home as a foster child at age 11. Enloe bartered with Thomas Lincoln to marry Nancy Hanks so as to give the child a father. It’s a very interesting story.

Note: The word “hoe” in my above post was a typo.

I say do whatever it takes then to remove the usurper and all the corruption in government. It is getting worse and worse instead of better.

It’s the right of free citizens to draw that line and whether anyone agrees with what they think is a necessary action makes no difference. This is still America. Everyone is trying, in every way possible, to stop what is happening in a civil and legal way. Hopefully that will be possible. But if it is not, I think some hard thought must be given to what each American is prepared to do in their own state and in their own home to defend this nation and the freedoms we enjoy. Whatever the outcome is, pray for their success and safety. We may all be called upon to draw a line somewhere and we must prevail.

For me, as a Texan, I am tired of the abuses of Washington and their lack of concern for our border and our sovereignty - and this has been going on from both parties before Obama even got to Washington.
Economically, Texas is stronger than the U.S. and has a wealth of their own resources. They need to break away before they get sucked under by the massive debt Washington is running up, allegedly in our names.
Leaving the United States is not only a smart idea but one I think can be accomplished without firing a shot. I’ve never owned a slave and have no desire to. I’ve never owned a gun but I believe everyone who has no criminal record and is properly trained should have the right to own and carry one. And I believe sufficient taxes can be raised without an I.R.S.
As the U.S. leans further toward socialism, Texas can emerge as a bastion for capitalism where “profit” is not a four-letter word and where freedom doesn’t come from the government but from God, as it was intended.

Folks we are more than ready to secede. As a separate Republic Texas would be the 10th largest nation in size in the world. Our economy ranks as the 12 largest in the world. We are the 5th largest oil and gas producers in the world. Texas ranks as the #1 exporting state, exporting over $192 billion of our products (source: U.S. Census - foreign trade statistics) or 15% of all U. S. exports. We have three of the top ten sea ports in the nation plus nine more along the Gulf coast. Texas has eight international airports. Last year Texas created one-half of all jobs in the U. S. Texas has its own electrical power grid. We have no income tax, no state tax on goods in transit and a lower cost of living than 42 other states. Our state budget must be balanced per our Texas Constitution thus we have no deficit spending as does the federal government and numerous state governments. Our population is growing by 1,000 every day of the year. And, we have the Texas Rangers and I don’t mean the base ball team in Arlington.
You betchu we can stand alone economically in the world. We might need to tweak our Constitution to keep our Texas government under tighter control as well as designing a new taxing system that would supplant the property tax and sales tax we all hate and I don’t mean replacing it with an income tax system which is counter productive to growth and prosperity.

Goodwater,
WOW! These are amazing and great features of the State of Texas that I din’t know about. I might just move there… lol… and go and cheer for the Dallas Cowboys. Tony Romo was outstanding in the pre-season game.
No kidding, there aren’t many places left in the world where people can move to so they can enjoy freedom. Texas might be one of them if it secede. I was once thinking about Alaska… but it is a bit too cold… lol.

I wish I lived in TX. I wish the state I live in could secede. I hope that all the states that were talking about secession would secede so that it could be more effective to dissolve this tyrannical govt and get rid of that foreign-born, not NBC, wooden head dummy usurper who is a total threat to our national security. Also all the evil people he appointed to make our lives miserable along with all the corrupt congress and senators.

I have never been to Texas, but my best friend’s sister lives there, is something that I can think about, might more near her and have what I had when I was younger, one thinf I can’t change is my age, 85, maybe this will be over sooner. I feel that the more I pray, maybe that will happen. Obey God, leave all consequences to Him. God Bless America and all who are posting. Great Job.

Yes,a substantial effort to make our non serving government to wake up but alas, here it is a month later,Seems legislators are still asleep at the wheel. So I’m hoping that “Peters Plan of “Stop It” will take root and We The People can take a nationwide action that will tell Washington, that this is OUR Country and we want it back.
