Obama Now Selling Judgeships for Health Care Votes?

Obama names brother of undecided House Dem to Appeals Court.
Tonight [actually, March 3rd], Barack Obama will host ten House Democrats who voted against the health care bill in November at the White House; he’s obviously trying to persuade them to switch their votes to yes. One of the ten is Jim Matheson of Utah. The White House just sent out a press release announcing that today President Obama nominated Matheson’s brother Scott M. Matheson, Jr. to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
“Scott Matheson is a distinguished candidate for the Tenth Circuit court,” President Obama said. “Both his legal and academic credentials are impressive and his commitment to judicial integrity is unwavering. I am honored to nominate this lifelong Utahn to the federal bench.”

Scott M. Matheson currently holds the Hugh B. Brown Presidential Endowed Chair at the S.J. Quinney College of Law, University of Utah, where he has been a member of the faculty since 1985. He served as Dean of the Law School from 1998 to 2006. He also taught First Amendment Law at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government from 1989 to 1990.
While on public service leave from the University of Utah from 1993 to 1997, Matheson served as United States Attorney for the District of Utah. In 2007, he was appointed by Governor Jon Huntsman to chair the Utah Mine Safety Commission. He also worked as a Deputy County Attorney for Salt Lake County from 1988 to 1989. Prior to joining the University faculty, Matheson was an associate attorney from 1981 to 1985 at Williams & Connolly LLP in Washington, D.C.
Matheson was born and raised in Utah and is a sixth generation Utahn. He received an A.B. from Stanford University in 1975, an M.A. from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and a J.D. from Yale Law School in 1980.
So, Scott Matheson appears to have the credentials to be a judge, but was his nomination used to buy off his brother’s vote?

wasn’t bama trying to persuade someone not to run against specter in pennsylvania by offering a position with the administration instead of running for senator. this is what a desperate man does when people discover who he is and what he is all about. this man does not understand that these bribes are illegal. reason enough for congress to impeach the criminal. what we need to do is start all over again with a new declaration of independence and dare that mf to cross the line.

Well, the disease is underhanded and creepy, sneaky and he was taught by his foster mother Ann Dunham, I think she is foster mom, but nobody really knows, but to have a kid in Kenya and rush to Hawaii to register, in my humble opinion that is sneaky. All his supporters and his wife need to be jailed with him, as they are supporting a conspiracy and jail time would be extensive. I said on one post, diseae should be afraid of the Lake of Fire, I am this is a real serious punishment and I am sure Our Lord and Savior will make this a final sentence when HE comes to rule with a ROD of iron, So, all Pray, I wish prayer was answered sooner, but it will come if we just have the patience, God has a different time frame than we have, read the Book O Revelation as this is a great Book of Prophecy. If my memory serves me right wasn’t Bill Clinton Impeached for simply lying to the American People? This is a crime of bribery and a conflict of interest.To add insult to injury , the Walperin scandal clearly was orchestrated in the White House.The problem I’m having with all of this stuff , is where are the Congress Critters outrage and action? Why have indictments and charges not been filled? Not a single charge of misconduct has been handed down by the DOJ.Does anyone here see a pattern? Folks we are no longer served by the very Government we pay taxes to.Can I get an Amen?Godspeed.

It was just a little more than just lying to the American people.
Clinton filed false court depositions and instructed others to also file false depositions in the Paula Jones sexual harresment case.
The case was then dismissed on perjured testimony.
Clinton actually come out smelling like a rosr on that deal.

You are correct. I think the key word is perjury. IF Soetoro or any of his co conspirators were ever required to testify under oath, perjury would ensue.Facts just don’t seem to work on these folks.Godspeed.

I have a sister in the healthcare industry in Texas and she said the cut to medicare have already been voted on and they are going into affect April 1, 2010. She is an administrator for a surgical center and her doctors told her the government gave them till March 15 to let them know whether or not they will be a medicare/medicade participate. If they are, their fees and going to be cut 21%. We citizen and the poor are not going to be able to find a doctor to take care of us. Who would blame them. They already take a big cut accepting government insurance. We are in trouble people and we just don’t know it yet. That’s why Obumer said it was going to be passed and he doesn’t even have a plan. The plan has already been passed. We are the ones that just don’t know it yet. All ***t is going to hit the fan when we the people find out what’s been done to us.
