Many of us are wondering just what is going on with government these days, particularly with the Democrats who are now in power. Why are these supposed “public servants” so downright hateful and destructive? And how did things get so ugly, so fast, to the point where having to take matters into our own hands to save the Republic seems almost inevitable?

I’ve been thinking about this while doing chores and other mindless tasks around here; and I’ve come up with the perfect analogy … from film, no less.

Remember those good old Westerns where a gang of outlaws would ride into a town, terrorize the citizens, pillage and loot, and then ride out some time later leaving the town afire?

In those great old Westerns the only time the outlaws felt confident enough to ride into a town and take it over was when they knew that the town had weaknesses to exploit. There was a weak or absent sheriff. Or there was a greedy tyrant already subduing the citizens who the outlaws knew they could co-opt and make a useful idiot of and then dispose of when they were done with him. There were squabbling townsfolk. Or, there were economic hard times due to drought or other factors. The town was vulnerable.

So, the outlaws ride in. They have no intentions of following the rule of law. They are the law while they are there. They have no plans for sustaining the town over the long haul. They intend to use the town and then trash it before moving on. There is no pretense of fairness or justice, no posturing about doing it for the “good of the town.” They rape, murder and pillage at will, and utterly destroy anybody who has the temerity to resist.

You can draw your own connections between the Western town scenario and the state of today’s nation. Personally, I believe the analogy is fairly complete so far.

OK. We have a town terrorized by outlaws. We have the decent folk, town citizens, cowering behind closed doors and drawn curtains. They’ve seen what happens to the few who were brave enough to challenge the outlaws early on. They are dead; squashed like bugs.

So, where do these great old Western movie plots go from there? Think about it. Doesn’t somebody usually show up, or arise up from the crowd, who is new to the town who looks on the cowards with disdain and who decides to fight back against the outlaws? If he’s lucky, he can enlist the aid of few locals who would have been willing to try it if only they had had someone to “brave them up a bit” and lead them.

Still seeing the connection?

The instructive thing about this analogy is that once the town was being terrorized and the outlaws were all boozed up and out of control, drunk and reckless with power, THERE WAS NO MORE POINT IN TRYING TO NEGOTIATE OR APPEASE!

There it is. The only solution that worked was a shock and awe attack by a determined citizenry to physically remove them from their position of power and either kill them or drive them out of town.

Here’s the thing. Correct me if I’m wrong, but nowhere in history do we see a socialist-communist-totalitarian government returned to a democracy or a republic with anything less than total war. The thugs in power right now have brought us to the brink of the point of no return in that regard.

They don’t realize it — because they probably rooted for the bad guys when they watched those old Westerns — but the totalitarian thugs have made it almost inevitable that someone will arise from the cowering crowd, or someone new to our great nation who knows what it is like to live under totalitarian rule, will muster up a riled up citizenry to forcefully remove them from power.

We are months, if not weeks or days, from the tipping point WHERE THAT WILL BE THE ONLY SOLUTION to save our nation!

I don’t know where I’m going with this, other than to say that it is absolutely imperative that we recognize and treat Democrats and other America-haters within our towns as if they are the outlaws of old. No appeasement, no negotiating. They are the enemy, plain and simple, and the only thing they will understand is resistance and removal by force.

Maybe we aren’t there quite yet, but it’s one minute to High Noon, and we better be getting prepared for that train to come rolling in with the enemy on board.
