My brother was Charles (Chic) Burlingame, captain of American Airlines Flight 77, which was hijacked and crashed into the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001.
Now I am one of the organizers of a rally being held at noon this Saturday in Foley Square to stop President Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder and members of Congress from bringing sworn enemies of the United States into this country – from bringing war criminals captured on the battlefield, lawfully held as war detainees, into civilian court.
It doesn’t have to happen. We who are opposed to the decision must make ourselves perfectly clear to the powers that be that we will not tolerate this decision.
Two weeks ago, 300 family members of 9/11 victims sent a letter to the President telling him we adamantly oppose this dangerous and unnecessary act. The letter was never acknowledged. Then, one hour after the attorney general made his stunning announcement that unlawful foreign combatants would be tried as civilians, the number of signers to that letter jumped to 45,000. By the end of the day the number was 100,000. Our Internet server couldn’t handle the volume of Americans who had somehow found out about this letter and wished to stand with us.
The attorney general has suggested that those who oppose prosecuting these men here in New York City are afraid – that we somehow don’t have the courage to face Khalid Shaikh Mohammed in court.
How dare this man, who didn’t have the decency to notify victims’ families of his decision to bring these monsters here, imply that we lack courage. Courage is carrying on after watching your loved ones die, in real time, knowing that they burned to death, were crushed to death, or jumped from 100 flights high. Courage is carrying on, even as we waited, in some cases years, for something of our loved ones to bury. More than 1,100 families still wait.
How dare the attorney general suggest that the firefighters who oppose this trial need to “man up” and let this avowed enemy of America mock their brother firefighters in the country’s most magisterial setting, a federal court.
Let me refresh the attorney general on the meaning of courage. Courage was going into those buildings that day, knowing they might not come out alive. Courage was digging for nine months on hands and knees, breathing in toxic smoke, to find the ravaged remains of brother firefighters, police officers, citizen responders and office workers. This courage was not summoned from false bravado; it sprang from an abiding love of their fellow human beings and a sense of obligation to them, their families and their beloved country.
The attorney general has glibly, and most insensitively, called the perverse spectacle he wants to invite on this city and this nation, the “trial of the century.” Well, Mr. Attorney General, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed has put you on notice. He’s going to give it to you. His trial will be lawyer-assisted jihad in the courtroom.
We understand that to the terrorists, jihad is more than spilling American blood, it is forcing us to change our lives, divert our limited resources. When we spend hundreds of millions of dollars on rooftop snipers, kevlar vests and armored vehicles, that’s jihad. When we barricade our buildings, lock down our streets, and close our transportation systems, that’s jihad. When we grant a confessed war criminal access to platinum due process, so that he can use it to rally his fellow terrorists to kill more of our citizens and target our military, that’s jihad.
Mr. Attorney General, this doesn’t have to happen. You have called the military commissions system “lawful, fair, and effective” and “consistent with our highest standards as a nation.” We agree. We think that is far more than these sworn enemies of America deserve.
That person attroney general is as much as Muslim as his boss and they only want american citizens to suffer and to die. They want to take over America for their vile Muslim jhad, I don’t like him, or his f boss, they have done more to ruin this country than anybody ever thought possible, massive debt, and so many really unhappy people, when they are critized, all they do is toss the letter into the round file, just no answer, no answer to complaints and they just keep on their merry way to destroy the greatest nation in the world. We must all pray and pray and fast is you can, I can’t as so much pain have to take pills, but pray, repent of your sins, sounds simple but if we all do, it might help, something has to help, we are losing the great nation and letting the dirty, crappy Muslims take us over. With the dictator in white house, he will do all in his power to kill Americans. Now in Calif. no ammunition can be bought, what are guns without ammo? I will say a prayer for the fool, Psalm 109.8 and hope and pray daily it takes effect soon. God Bless America, God Bless all the 9/11 families for their persistance and the great letter I justread. My only question is and maybe someone on this website can answer it is “Why didn’t the Bush Administration take these people into a court such as what is being rendered today?” I will tune back in on a regular basis for a reasonable answer to that one question. If you didn’t understand the question reread it.
My guess is they know he isn’t qualified and chose him as the perfect patsy! He get’s to make history for being the first black guy to become POTUS, and probably millions later, and meanwhile he has to do everything they want or face being exposed for the fraud he is. As long as he plays ball and does everything they want they will see to it no one can touch him through the courts or otherwise. The fix is in and that is why they chose him. Think about it! It’s the PERFECT set up!
As long as he does what they want he will be OK. If he fails doing what they want they will expose him! Pretty slick, huh? Remember, republican or democrat doesn’t matter. They are one in the same. A two headed snake that serves the same masters. Everything else you see in the media is all put on for show. They merely play the good guy, bad guy approach against each party to put on a show to us just to keep the people divided which is what allows their bogus two party system to remain in power!
Think about it. If they were truly two different parties and there were some from either party that really cared, not just one, but several or more, especially from the republican side would have raised issues about this and demanded proof from Obama that he is eligible. But not a single one of them will step up to do the right thing which that alone should tell you they are all in on it together. These politicians do what they are told and if they don’t their puppet masters will destroy them and their career. They always find some kind of dirt on them to blackmail them with and if need be they will invent the dirt. They own the media and can destroy anyone that goes against them, not to mention the threat of doing something to their family members if need be.
The corruption runs very deep and there is way to much money and power involved that they will never allow some politician to interfer with them. They will play dirty and they play for keeps!
Heck, who knows, they could even be planning on using Obama as a fall guy after they are finished with him. He may have been used and set up for all this.

I am also starting to think that these 2 parties are just a two headed snake that serves the same masters. I hate to come to that conclusion but it is the only logic one.
Why else would they remain silent on Obama’s usurpation of the presidency? I beleive they should all be thrown out of Office. I would give a chance to the Constitution Party if I were an American. I would much prefer unexperience politicians that have integrity to old politicians who have experience but no integrity whatsoever. Their only experience is in corruption. That has to stop.
Voting for a 3rd party in America will only assure that the liberals win every time. It does not work here. Do you remember Ross Perot? He ran, split the votes and Clinton was elected. It was all well planned and it worked.
Don’t vote 3rd party. Make the Republicans go back to being conservatives. Back to basics. Take back our party and kick out any Republican who even talks about crossing the isle to make a deal with the Dems. You cannot deal with the Devil. Besides, you have seen how the Dems cross the isle. How many times have they carried on their business after locking the doors on the Republicans who were standing outside those doors? The Democrat party is NOT the same party it was. It’s a shame, but the marxist radicals have taken it over.
I think Ross had a real chance of winning, but because he dropped out at one point that killed his chances! Had he not done that he may have won.
We can not just continue on the path of voting between these two parties. It does not matter which one wins, they are one and the same. The bad part is in most cases they are going to be the only two choices to vote for. The key here is to vote anyone currently in office out!
This means if a republican is up for re-election and they want to hold that seat then they had better make sure they have another republican running for that seat! The same with democrat! Send them ALL packing no matter what! We MUST send the message that none of them are safe and we will get everyone of them out when they fail to listen to the people! They have ALL failed us at one point while serving so kick them ALL out!
Follow…..just a thought. It’s never been proven, but don’t you think Ross Perot dropped out mainly so Clinton would win? If there was a deal going, and I’m pretty sure there was, Perot probably got paid very well by Clinton to run and then back off if he started doing too well in the polls. It worked.

I think a third party runner is a pawn just to get either dem. or rep. elected. I agree/a 2 headed Snake!! Both party’s are guilty of not upholding the constitution!
Has anybody heard that Obama’s ‘wwar” councils were 2 fold, 1 troops for Afganistan, 2nd He is bringing 200,000 troops home from foreign countries, japan, germany etc. because they anticipate a Civil War before winter is over. I forget where I read this, possibly Prison Planet, but with all the unemployment and you can’t very well tax a person with no income, wonder just what is really happening, Beck says, watch out for the other hand, as he is tricky, he and all his so-called czars. Goldie….this might be the link you were talking about. I got it off of JagHunter’s wordpress site. This whole thing is very hard for me to take in. Do you think our military would really fire on the American people whom they took an oath to the constitution to protect? Even the Russian papers are mentioning that Obama has given orders for more troops to Gen.? Renuart and Northcom. It’s not the American people who are the enemies of the USA. It’s those in Washington, DC.
