Vice President Biden today played attack dog for the White House, accusing Rep. John Boehner (R) of being “nostalgic” for the failed economic policies of the Bush administration.

At an event where he was to unveil a report analyzing the impact of the Recovery Act, Biden broke from prepared remarks to react to the House minority leader’s speech in Cleveland today. What was billed as a major economic address for Boehner offered no new policy other than to fire the White House economic team, Biden said.

“[That's] very constructive advice and we thank the leader for that,” Biden said sarcastically.

Instead, Biden made the case that voters should not hire Republicans this fall.

“For eight years before we arrived in the West Wing, Mr. Boehner and his party ran the economy literally into the ground,” he said. “We’ve seen this movie before, Mr. Boehner. We’ve seen it before and we know how it ends.”

Biden also defended the administration’s plan to let tax cuts expire for the highest wage earners, while extending others for the middle class. To the charge that these decisions would hurt small businesses, the VP claimed it would affect only a minute percentage.

“It’s a Wall Street tax cut, not a Main Street tax cut,” he said of the expiring law. He also attacked Republicans for blocking in the Senate a planned $12 billion tax cut that Democrats had offered.

Obama released a press statement before leaving for vacation on Thursday. We are all waiting with baited breath for his return to Washington. In the mean time we can roll our eyes as we read his words of wisdom. The Bamster is complaining because the Corporations in this Country (or anyone for that matter) can now spend money on advertisements to influence elections. Wow, I am shocked! Wasn’t it something like $600 million dollars that Obama raised during his election season and the majority of the money couldn’t be documented where it came from? What about the hundreds of millions of dollars that the Unions gave to the Democrats in the past few years to try and influence the voters? I think Obama is a sore loser because the Supreme Court dumped on his parade.

Judicial Watch Founder Asks High Court to Disbar Her for Falsifying “Evidence” It Relied Upon To Strike Down Partial Birth Abortion Legislation

Klayman Also Calls for Criminal Referral to Justice Department

(Washington, DC). Larry Klayman, the founder of Judicial Watch and now Freedom Watch public interest law groups, today filed a complaint before the U.S. Supreme Court, asking that the high court disbar Elena Kagan.

Kagan, while she was an Associate White House Counsel in the Clinton administration, falsified an expert medical report, prepared by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). In this report, ACOG had originally found that partial birth abortion was in fact not medically necessary to save the life of a woman, but Kagan changed the report’s finding to say that it was an appropriate procedure under some circumstances. This report was then relied upon by the U.S. Supreme Court in striking down legislation banning partial birth abortion.

In filing the complaint this morning, Klayman issued the following statement:

“Elena Kagan, a nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court, has defrauded the U.S. Supreme Court. As a result, her membership to practice before the Court should be revoked and the matter referred to the Criminal Division of the Justice Department. How, then can Ms. Kagan be confirmed by the U.S. Senate for a seat on the high court, when in reality she should not even be allowed to practice in front of it?

The rules of legal ethics require her disbarment and I intend to pursue it, to set an example that prospective and sitting judges, or anyone in the legal profession or otherwise, are not above the law.”

PHOENIX – “I am disappointed by Judge Susan Bolton’s ruling enjoining several provisions of “The Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act” – SB 1070; though I am heartened by some findings – including the ban on sanctuary cities.

“This fight is far from over. In fact, it is just the beginning, and at the end of what is certain to be a long legal struggle, Arizona will prevail in its right to protect our citizens.
