The impact of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill was thrown into sharp relief Tuesday, as US data showed rising unemployment in Louisiana and experts warned the disaster could cost up to 100,000 jobs.

The US Department of Labor said Louisiana — among the US states worst hit by the spill — was one of only five states across the country to see a rise in unemployment last month, with the jobless rate up 0.2 points to seven percent.

While the bayou state’s unemployment rate remains well below the national average of 9.5 percent, the data comes amid warnings that a worst-case scenario would see 100,000 jobs lost across the Gulf Coast.

Analysts at Moody’s reported that the region could face billions of dollars in lost growth from the spill, depending on whether a recent cap halts the flow of crude.

“Moody’s Analytics estimates that nearly 1.2 billion dollars in output and 17,000 jobs will be lost in the Gulf Coast states by the end of this year,” the firm said in a report.

“Under a more pessimistic scenario in which the oil spill continues through December and President (Barack) Obama’s moratorium on deepwater drilling is extended until year’s end, 7.4 billion dollars in output and over 100,000 jobs would be lost.”

BP crafted a new plan Tuesday hoping to seal for good the blown-out well that has disgorged oil onto hundreds of miles (kilometers) of coastline, ravaging thousands of livelihoods.

“The most direct impact thus far is being felt by the Gulf Coast’s sizeable fishing and aquaculture industry, especially in Louisiana,” Moody’s said.

The oystermen, shrimpers and others affected by the spill stand to claim spill damages from BP, which has set aside 20 billion dollars in compensation.

“The largest economic impact of the oil spill will be at the local level…. Louisiana and Florida are likely to be hardest hit because of Louisiana’s heavy dependence on fishing, aquaculture and oil extraction, and Florida’s heavy dependence on tourism.”

But Moody’s warned that a larger economic impact may come from a decision by Obama’s administration to freeze deep-sea oil drilling.

“The potential for even greater economic damage to Louisiana’s economy stems from President Usurper Obama’s six-month moratorium on new offshore drilling.”

The order froze the work of 33 rigs, including 20 off the coast of Houma, Louisiana.

Eighty days of sitting on his proverbial butt when not shooting hoops or playing golf..

As soon as BP announces they may have the oil well capped the Usurper presses the “rump roast” into action..

Michelle Obama descends upon Panama City..

Comment by American Grand Jury:

Hey Michelle.. they don’t have any Maine Lobster in Panama City.. Montana beef is off limits too.. you can try the Scrimp “Oil” Cocktail.

PS.. for those of you you that don’t know what I am talking about.. remember when the Obama group was in Bozeman, Montana for a Town Hall event.. they had Maine Lobster flown in for the event when in fact prime Montana beef was just waiting to be served. The Usurper was making a subtle statement that his Administration would have nothing to do with the fine State of Montana [which is very RED by the way].

Now that BP has finally capped the leak, the media will literally treat it like a car wreck on the Washington beltway - move on people - nothing to see here.

No reason to spend any time on anything to do with the clean up, the devastated Gulf coast economy or the incompetent leadership of Obama for the last eighty days.

No, all that’s left for the media to do is air Obama’s “victory over the spill” speech wall-to-wall for the next week or so and try and sell America on every last word of his total BS.

Hey, the liberal media isn’t stupid, they just believe we are, after all, it’s an election year - screw the environment and the truth - the expedient thing for them to do is help Democrats get elected.

FINALLY.. a little good news on the home front!

The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled late Thursday that a lower court acted correctly when it struck down Obama’s illegal, ideology-driven attack on American energy exploration over the Gulf oil spill.

The court concluded that the White House had no authority under the law to issue sweeping decrees shutting down entire industries on a whim, except for cases in which it could demonstrate that allowing the industry to continue operating threatened “irreparable injury” to the federal government.

And one major (and highly suspicious) disaster in sixty years of offshore drilling clearly does not qualify. As I have argued before, it would be like President Bush shutting down all aviation because of 9/11.

It’s an absurd over-reaction that conveniently fits right in with Obama’s economy-killing crusade against energy companies.

Editorial from AGJGreetings Everyone,

It has been some time since I have written an editorial. I am not noted for keeping my mouth shut although I tend to stay away from conspiracy theories. With respect to Obama, I hammer him on a daily basis for a very good reason. I know the “hard” facts about him. Simply reviewing American Grand Jury evidence which is extensive proves he is an illegal Usurper. He is not a “natural born” citizen and violates our sacred Constitution on a daily basis.

I am very concerned about the Gulf Oil Spill. I know in my heart that Obama and his Administration have no real interest in stopping the Spill. This crisis plays directly into the hands of those that wish to change [or bury] our Country.

Do you realize that this Oil Spill may be the mother of all disasters and could wreak havoc, strife and poverty on the economy of our Nation for decades to come? This is the perfect setup for Obama to bring this Country to its knees. “Never let a crisis go to waste!”

What concerns me most is what the government and media are NOT telling us? We hear from many outside sources that the Gulf Oil Spill is far worse than publicized:

  • It is now estimated the release of oil from under the Earth’s crust at between 80,000 and 100,000 barrels a day. That is 4.2 million American gallons PER DAY potentially pouring into the Gulf.
  • Some scientists are now predicting that the drill hole will expand beneath the wellhead and so weaken the area on which the wellhead stands until it is pushed off the hole to allow the oil to flow with no restrictions at all.
  • These scientists are saying that BILLIONS of gallons of oil could be released if the leak is not contained.
  • Satellite imagery shows that “under the gaping chasm spewing oil at an ever-alarming rate is a cavern estimated to be around the size of Mount Everest.”
  • If the chasm spewing oil releases enough oil to reduce the pressure then billions of gallons of seawater could rush into the chasm. The chasm is estimated to be 400 degrees and will instantly turn the water into steam. At that point the steam will expand and the pressure will lift the ocean-bed. Such a scenero would create a tsunami of between 20 to 80 feet, or even higher, that will bring the poisoned ocean ashore to leave great tracts of land uninhabitable and without life.
  • But the scale and potential of what we are seeing goes way beyond even the Gulf. The scientists mentioned above say that the oil has now reached the Gulf Stream, with a current at least four times stronger than in the Gulf of Mexico itself, and this could help to direct the oil all over the world in the next 18 months.

Let me be clear. This is an opinion editorial and many will dispute the foregoing statements. But what about common sense? The laws of physics cannot be denied. If the oil leak is not stopped it will displace enough oil thereby reducing the pressure and allowing the seawater to rush into the cavern. We MUST stop this oil leak. The Obama Administration is messing with the very security and welfare of our Country. Will he actually do anything about the crisis or continue to use it to his political advantage?

Next comes the conspiracy theory part. I said I normally stay away from such things but these facts even challenge my brain:

  • Just eight days before the Gulf blow-out, Halliburton who is under contract to BP announced that it had agreed to buy Boots & Coots for $240.4 million. Who is Boots & Coots? The world’s largest oil-spill clean-up company which also deals with oil and gas well fires and blowouts.
  • BP CEO Tony Hayward sold £1.4 million of his shares weeks before Gulf blowout. The profit allowed him to pay off the mortgage on his mansion.
  • Goldman Sachs Sold 44% Of Its BP Stock 3 Weeks Before Gulf Blowout. This was a total of 4,680,822 shares worth the best part of $300 million, done just before the Gulf disaster that sent BP shares plummeting.
  • Transocean firm makes $200m, or more, profit from Gulf of Mexico oil spill. The “accounting gain” arose because the $560m insurance policy Transocean took out on its Deepwater Horizon rig was greater than the value of the rig itself. Transocean has already received a cash payment of $401m with the rest due in the next few weeks. The windfall, revealed in a conference call with analysts, will more than cover the $200m that Transocean expects to pay to survivors and their families and for higher insurance costs.

Put all of these people and companies together, follow the money trail of ownership [the New World Order.. you know the Globalist banking families are behind BP and Goldman Sacks] and what do you get? A motive for actually causing the well-head to explode on purpose.

Now before you get your head into a tizzy just follow me for a few minutes. No one in his right mind will dispute the facts that the NWO does exist and various banking families would love to crush capitalism in the free world. Isn’t power really about control of people and resources? How convenient is the Gulf Oil Spill to the agenda of the NWO? Obama is nothing more than a mouthpiece for the NWO. Do the research on who financially put Obama in office. The NWO or Globalists have been plotting for years to put a Marxist in office with the ultimate goal of replacing capitalism with socialism. How many times have you heard Obama use the word “global” or speak in terms of the global economy or a global governance? Isn’t that really what Obama is all about? So then, why would Obama have any material interest in fixing the oil leak. The worse it gets the better his chances of weakening the Oil Industry, hurting our economy and killing capitalism. If Obama can deliver the United States of America to the New World Order, how valuable will his stock become in the minds of those wealthy families that really run the show? Think about it!
