Amish, Muslims to be excused from Obamacare mandate?

The Senate health care bill just signed contains some exemptions to the “pay-or-play” mandate requiring purchase of Obamacare-approved health insurance or payment of a penalty fine. As Fox News has pointed out, for instance, the Amish are excused from the mandate:
So while most Americans would be required to sign up with insurance companies or government insurance plans, the church would serve as something of an informal insurance plan for the Amish.
Law experts say that kind of exemption withstands scrutiny.
“Here the statute is going to say that people who are conscientiously opposed to paying for health insurance don’t have to do it where the conscientious objection arises from religion,” said Mark Tushnet a Harvard law professor. “And that’s perfectly constitutional.”
Apparently, this exemption will apply similarly to believers in Islam, which considers health insurance - and, for that matter, any form of risk insurance - to be haraam (forbidden).
Steve Gilbert of Sweetness & Light calls our attention to the probability that Muslims will also be expempt. According to a March 23 publication on an authoritative Islamic Web site managed by Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid, various fatwas (religious decrees) absolutely forbid Muslim participation in any sort of health care or other risk insurance:
Health insurance is haraam like other types of commercial insurance, because it is based on ambiguity, gambling and riba (usury). This is what is stated in fatwas by the senior scholars.
In Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah (15/277) there is a quotation of a statement of the Council of Senior Scholars concerning the prohibition on insurance and why it is haraam:
It says in Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah (15/251):
Firstly: Commercial insurance of all types is haraam because it involves ambiguity, riba, uncertainty, gambling and consuming people’s wealth unlawfully, and other shar’i
Secondly: It is not permissible for the Muslim to get involved with insurance companies by working in administration or otherwise, because working in them comes under the heading of cooperating in sin and transgression, and Allaah forbids that as He says: “but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Severe in punishment”
[al-Maa'idah 5:2]. End quote.
So, it turns out that observant Muslims are not only strictly forbidden from buying any health insurance under the ObamaCare mandate, but may also not even work for any company that provides such insurance or any other form of commercial insurance.
It is not made clear whether or not it is religiously okay to accept “free” non-insured medical care such as that offered in hospital ERs and to some who are covered by Medicaid.
Whether it’s all right to serve as a doctor, nurse, or orderly caring for patients whose medical services are being paid for by insurance is not covered in the present response - but one could probably obtain a religious ruling from the Sheikh, whose site welcomes the submission of questions about Islamic law and practices.
The content is irrelevant. This socialist act on its face is unconstitutional since Article 1 section 8 of the Constitution does not specifically grant Congress the power to regulate health care. The people are not bound to comply with any unconstitutional act.
The people are the government, not Congress. They will have the final say as to how they are governed. Congress operates at the consent of the governed. Clearly the governed have not and will not give their consent to replace our Constitutional form of government with a socialist/marxist run away tyrannical government.
I wonder how many muslims are driving around the US without auto insurance because it’s against muslim law, while the rest of us have to have auto insurance to lawfully drive on public roadways. I guess the muslim in the White House says it’s alright for the muslims to not have auto insurance to cover our damages when they cause damages to our vehicles. One wonders where all this BS is going to end before we collectively take our country back!!!!! By force or at the ballot boxes.
i just finished talking to an african american friend of mine about this supposed health care bill. he said that ‘bama is going to create lazy people who are going to let the government take care of them. how do you like that michelle? not all african americans are on board with you.

My husband and I owned an independent non-standard (high risk) auto insurance agency for 12 years and sold it 4 years ago. During that time, we insured many Muslims since we have a university here. By the way, our town has a mosque…scary!
My husband has written many many letters to the editor. They are all about BHO and sometimes talk about the Muslims. We have been told by a friend who heard from the Muslim community here that they are very offended by his articles. TOUGH!
Now, my husband is running for State Representative. We are trying to unseat a woman (Democrat) who has gone unchallenged for the last two elections and replace her with a Conservative…my husband. Please pray for us both as we go through this battle. Neither one of us have ever run for any political office. While campaigning, if asked about BHO’s eligibility, he’ll definitely talk about it…he’s not afraid to discuss it.
Muslim scholars don’t pull make these rulings out of thin air…There is scriptural reasons for all rulings and fatwas (not every Muslim who issues a fatwa is actually entitled to do it)…In this case I would side with Islam, not because they should be exempt, but if religion is the consideration they qualify…But since in the US, there is religious freedom, and government can’t define it, anyone can claim a religious exemption…In the US, anyone can start a religion, you can give yourself any title you want, Reverend, Deacon, Priest etc… you do not need the governments permission unless you want a tax exempt status…But you can found a religion without that…My religion is ‘Swamism’, and it is against the swami’s religious beliefs to buy health care…especially at gun point…Just thinking about it makes me break out in a rash…

They can’t buy insurance to protect themselves and others, but it’s alright to take handouts at others expense even if they can afford it themselves. Don’t you just love paying for everybody else whether or not you can afford it. I don’t have a cell phone or big screen TV because the cost is not within my ability to buy. I don’t have a big expensive house I can’t afford. However I’m expected to pay for people on welfare for these things plus pay for their Medicaid healthcare. What ever happened to this country, you live within your means.

Last night, while we were out here in Boystown talking to people about what they thought of the Obamacare travesty, we ran into a friend of Robby’s who used to live in Boston. We started talking to him, and somehow in the conversation 9/11 came up — we think because Panda brought up the Real World, when one of the former cast members was spotted in Scarlet (quite a few reality has-beens live in Boystown) and he told everyone the story of Beth from the New Orleans cast.
She was the girl who was supposed to be on one of the Boston to L.A. flights that hit the Twin Towers; the reason she survived was because about 20 minutes before she was supposed to leave for the airport to make her flight to California, she got into a random fight with her boyfriend that ended in a screaming match, and her refusal to keep her trip to visit him. That fight saved her life. If not for the argument, she would have boarded the plane and been one of those to die when Muslims took over the cockpit and turned the jet into a cruise missile.
The guy from Boston, Jake, then told us a 9/11 story we’d never heard before, but that we’ve checked out and it is most definitely true.
Jake used to workout at a Bally’s gym in Cambridge, near Boston. One of the personal trainers there was Muslim, and he was arrested not long after 9/11 for stealing the identities of club members. He photocopied all their member info, which included copies of their drivers’ licenses. This information was given to Muslim cells in California, where the information was used to make all sorts of fake IDs, fake passports, and the like for Muslim terrorists operating in the US.
Apparently, this guy kept his eyes open for anyone he saw who could pass as a Muslim male for future use by one of the cells. He wasn’t looking for people who looked like specific terrorists. He was just looking for dark haired guys with pictures on their IDs that were close enough to what Muslims could make themselves look like if need be.
This happened at a Bally’s.
We wonder where else this is happening. It’s not all that hard to get a job as a trainer, and apparently gain access to membership files like that.
It’s also not all that hard to get a job in Human Resources just about anywhere.

Have your read them?..If you need commentary by Musllim scholars, or kufr experts I can provide those, have you read any Tabari or Ibn Ishaq? Do you know who they were? Their versions of the founding of Islam by Mohammad are far different from yours. Craig Wynn in his (free online book) Prophet of Doom explains it fairly well…

Any thoughtful reader will be forced to admit that evil literally “drips” from their pages. One in every 55 verses in the Muslim Qur’an consists of this fake god Allah insisting that Muslims make war on unbelievers.
As you will see below, the Qur’an is a made up book of gibberish, of evil verses abrogating (superseding) peaceful verses.
The Qur’an cannot be trusted because it contains numerous “divinely inspired” contradictions. If God has a history of abrogating (changing) his own revelations as is done in the Qur’an, then how can we be certain he will not abrogate it again in the future? If Allah can abrogate his eternal speech, how can you trust him with your eternal soul?
