A Biblical prayer for the prez!

At last - I can voice a Biblical prayer for our president! I received this from an old classmate who is a retired minister. Look it up - I did. It is word for word!
We were in slow-moving traffic the other day and the car in front of us had an Obama bumper sticker on it.
It read: “Pray for Obama. Psalm 109:8″.
My husband’s Bible was lying on the dash board and he got it and opened it up to the scripture. He silently read it then he started laughing and laughing. Then he read it to me. I couldn’t believe what it said. I had a good laugh, too.
Let us all bow our heads and pray:
Psalm 109:8
“Let his days be few; and let another take office.”

This is too cool!!! I read the scripture right before that and it says, “When he is judged, let him be found guilty and let his prayer become sin. Let his days be few and let another take his office.” Put together, it’s perfect, lol.

Of course I had to run and go get my Bible to check this out! I too had a good laugh, and a renewed appreciation for those scribes long passed into History. And yet some still claim that the Bible is dusty and irrelevant in our modern world! Thank you for this, I’ll be putting the reference on all of my correspondence.

I checked it out too.And just before that, it says :
109.2 “For wicked and deceitful mouths are opened against me with lying tounges”
109.6 “Appoint a wicked man against him; let an accuser bring him to trial”
109.7 When he is judged, let him be found guilty …”

I read it and agree our Bibles are up to date and 100% accurate, God did leave us an excellent Book of Instructions. And anybody who calls it old and out of date is just not reading it. The bumper sticker should be located and given out to all. Maybe he will read it himself and take the hint. God Bless America

I have used this Psalm on many, many posts, I showed to my family, all laughed as it is so appropriate. I wish whoever made this bumper sticker would send out more. It really fits him. My friend said I should pray for Obama, so I say a prayer for Obama, Psalm 109:8 and then God Bless America
