HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - U.S. Rep. John Murtha, an influential critic of the Iraq War whose congressional career was shadowed by questions about his ethics, died Monday. He was 77.
The Pennsylvania Democrat had been suffering complications from gallbladder surgery. He died at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Va., spokesman Matthew Mazonkey said.
In 1974 Murtha, then an officer in the Marine Reserves, became the first Vietnam War combat veteran elected to Congress. One of Congress’ most hawkish Democrats, he wielded considerable clout for two decades as the ranking Democrat on the House subcommittee that oversees Pentagon spending.
Murtha voted in 2002 to authorize President George W. Bush to use military force in Iraq, but Murtha’s growing frustration over the administration’s handling of the war prompted him in November 2005 to call for an immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops.
“The war in Iraq is not going as advertised. It is a flawed policy wrapped in illusion,” he said.
Murtha often delivered Democratic votes to Republican leaders in exchange for the funding of pet projects. He wasn’t shy about such deals, once saying that “dealmaking is what Congress is all about.”
American Grand Jury has archived extensive records over the past year which we used in our jury hearings. We now believe beyond a reasonable doubt that Obama is not a “natural born” citizen and it is even possible that he may be an illegal alien.
We also have records showing the Democratic National Convention fraudulently declared Obama constitutionally eligible while never vetting the “natural born” requirement with the electorate.
Now, new evidence has come to light whereby Dr. James Manning has declared that Obama never attended Columbia University [New York].
Dr. Manning has hired a team of investigators to comb over every bit of available evidence to validate his declaration.
Manning’s investigators conclusively state that:
1) Columbia University will not divulge whether the “alleged” diploma issued was in the name of Barry Soetoro or Barack Hussein Obama. No public record exists regarding the diploma.
2) Obama alleges he attended Columbia in 1982, 1983. But, the investigators have been UNABLE to turn up a single shred of written documentation for the years 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984 that show where Obama appeared on a school roster, register, faculty memo, bulletin board, school awards, dean’s list; where Obama’s name appeared in a yearbook, club record, fraternity record, extra curricular activity member roster, student newspaper, student radio or tv activity; where Obama appeared in any records as a worker, employee, laborer in or about Columbia University; where Obama enrolled in any sports activity or program.
3) As a graduating senior in 1983 he does not appear in any Political Science (his major) or Granduating Class yearbook or invitation records.
4) There is absolutely no documentation of any kind to show Obama attended, lived, worked or played at Columbia University during the investigated 4 years.
5) Interviewed professors, college employees, students (who were at Columbia during the years in question) have failed to turn up a single person that can remember Obama. This is irrefutable evidence. Think about your own situation if Obama had attended your college? A “now-famous” person went to your school? Many would be able to say, “of course I remember.” At Columbia, not a single person has been able to say he or she remembers Obama.

White House announces televised health meet

President Barack Obama is planning to host a televised meeting with Republican and Democratic congressional leaders on health care reform.
The Feb. 25 meeting is an attempt to reach across the aisle but not a signal that the president plans to start over, as Republicans have demanded, a White House official said.
“I want to come back [after the Presidents Day congressional recess] and have a large meeting — Republicans and Democrats — to go through, systematically, all the best ideas that are out there and move it forward,” Obama said in an interview with Katie Couric during CBS’s Super Bowl pre-game show Sunday.
Obama said he wants to “look at the Republican ideas that are out there.”
“If we can go, step by step, through a series of these issues and arrive at some agreements, then, procedurally, there’s no reason why we can’t do it a lot faster the process took last year,” he said.
In a statement, the official said, “What the president will not do is let this moment slip away. He hopes to have Republican support in doing so — but he is going to move forward on health reform.”
Obama first suggested reopening talks with Republicans during his State of the Union address last month, and reiterated the call at a Democratic fundraiser Thursday, but the White House had kept details of his plan under wraps until Sunday.
The idea has been met previously with skepticism by the congressional leaders of both parties. Republicans say they see little room for compromise because the bill should be scrapped, while Democrats argue they have already tried a bipartisan approach, but failed.
This is ALL propaganda. Obama couldn’t pass gas in Congress right now. The Politico website had over 900 comments on this.. I briefly read through the first 100.. just about all the comments were anti-Obama.. This is quite unusual for Politico.. many of the folks that hang-out at Politico are half-baked liberals.

If you, as do I, respect the Constitution as the Supreme Law of the Land, and;
If you, as do I, respect the Office of the President and Commander in Chief;
Then you, as do I, must dis-respect (and reject) anyone who dis-respects the Constitution and the Office of President and Commander in Chief.
The Constitution is a ‘contract’ between we, the sovereign citizens only (not illegal aliens or enemy terrorist combatants) and our elected representatives (they represent us and our rights, not the other way around), and when our public servants violate or withdraw from the terms of our mutual ‘contract’, that ‘contract’ becomes null and void, and their representation of (and remuneration by) We, the People, ceases immediately. ($15,000+ per month is nothing to sneeze at, and termination for cause can cancel that lifetime pension immediately).
And I’m sure that you, as do I, completely dis-respect any violators of that ‘lifetime’ ‘contract’. That ‘contract’ consists of less than 5,000 words (a 10 page booklet), with an introductory Declaration of Independence, a Body of 9 Articles, and 27 carefully deliberated and lawfully approved Amendments.
Article II, Section 1 of that ‘contract’ requires that whomever we allow to represent us in our Office of President and Commander in Chief MUST BE a Natural Born U.S. Citizen.
Barry Soetoro/aka Barack Hussein Obama has admitted publicly that he is NOT, repeat NOT, a Natural Born U.S. citizen (since his father was not even a legal immigrant, never mind not even a U.S. citizen – he was British, then Kenyan), and has therefore treasonously ‘dis-respected’ these Offices. He has knowingly violated that ‘contract’ (with the complicity of the entire 111th Congress plus the 9 members of the Supreme Court, the elected Judges, Sheriffs, A/G’s, Governors, and the Secretaries of State across this vast but Sovereign nation), and therefore must step down or be removed by force of law, and be tried for the crime of treason, as spelled out in our ‘contract’, the Constitution of the United States of America.
You can help to respect the Office of the President and Commander in Chief by dis-respecting all those who disrespect that ‘contract’.
And you can begin to help in the removal of all those ‘dis-respecters’ of that ‘contract’ by:

2. Listening to The Manning Report “Let Justice Run Like Water”, and follow up on it daily – culminating in a mass demonstration and Obama Treason Trial at Columbia University in D.C. in May, 2010;
3. Contacting your Representative and demanding that s/he signs on to H.R.1503 – the Presidential Eligibility Act;
4. Making sure that all currently running candidates you support will be committed to all terms of that ‘contract’ (The Constitution Party platform may just meet that criteria) – to include enforcing Article II, Section 1, - that the Office of President and Commander in Chief is held by a Natural Born U.S. citizen ONLY!

The murky circumstances of Obama’s birth invite attempts to make the known facts fit together. This article was prompted by two emails. The first asked me why I had never weighed in on the birth certificate controversy surrounding President Barack Obama.
I responded that although I was troubled by the lack of documentation regarding all phases of Obama’s history — I’d be content with his SAT scores — I could not understand why any pregnant American woman would go anywhere near Kenya.
The second email was more interesting. It came from a Michigan entrepreneur named Don Wilkie, with whom I had not previously communicated. Knowing my interest in the authorship questions surrounding Obama’s writing, he presumed that I was intrigued as he was by a cryptic poem the 19-year old Obama wrote called “Pop,” the best thing that Obama himself has actually written. He was right.
“Pop” relates an encounter between Obama and a man most reviewers presume to be Obama’s maternal grandfather, Stanley Dunham. Dunham would have been in his early 60’s at the time. In the poem, Obama has “Pop” wondering drunkenly about the boy, “What to do with me, a green young man.”
The Obama of the poem is cynical, even a little bitter. He makes several allusions to the fact that he and the old man look and even smell alike, a fact that strikes Obama as more ironic than reassuring. The poem ends, however, with reconciliation when Pop stands and asks for a hug. Writes Obama:
I see my face, framed within
Pop’s black-framed glasses
And know he’s laughing too.
Wilkie offers a novel interpretation of “Pop.” Says Wilkie, “I think the poem zeros in on that poignant moment when Obama was told that his grandfather was in reality his father.”
Wilkie concedes his theory is “off-the-wall,” but he also offers photographic evidence to show that Obama much more closely resembles Dunham — especially the telltale ears –than he does Barack Obama, Sr.
THE scientist at the centre of the “climategate” email scandal has revealed that he was so traumatised by the global backlash against him that he contemplated suicide.
Professor Phil Jones said in an exclusive interview with The Sunday Times that he had thought about killing himself “several times”. He acknowledged similarities to Dr David Kelly, the scientist who committed suicide after being exposed as the source for a BBC report that alleged the government had “sexed up” evidence to justify the invasion of Iraq.
In emails that were hacked into and seized upon by global-warming sceptics before the Copenhagen climate summit in December, Jones appeared to call upon his colleagues to destroy scientific data rather than release it to people intent on discrediting their work monitoring climate change.
Jones, 57, said he was unprepared for the scandal: “I am just a scientist. I have no training in PR or dealing with crises.”
The incident has taken a severe toll on his health. He has lost more than a stone in weight and disclosed he is on beta-blockers and using sleeping pills. He said the support of his family, and especially the love of his five-year-old granddaughter, had helped him to shake off suicidal thoughts: “I wanted to see her grow up.”
He remains at risk, still receiving death threats from around the world including two in the past week: “I was shocked. People said I should go and kill myself. They said that they knew where I lived. They were coming from all over the world.”
Jones has temporarily stood down as director of the climatic research unit at the University of East Anglia. He fiercely defends the unit’s science — “I stand by it 100%” — but now accepts that he did not treat Freedom of Information (FoI) requests for the data as seriously as he should have done. Jones believes that the unit was maliciously targeted with multiple FoI requests by climate change sceptics determined to disrupt its work.
Last week Graham Smith, the deputy information commissioner, ruled that by failing to release requested data Jones and his colleagues breached FoI regulations. The affair is now the subject of a review led by Sir Muir Russell, former vice-chancellor of Glasgow University.

NASHVILLE – Sarah Palin received a rousing welcome from a crowd of more than 1,000 tea partiers last night at the first national tea party convention as she sent a strong message that she supports lower taxes, smaller government, transparency, energy independence and strong national security.
A large banquet room at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel was crowded from wall-to-wall with energized tea partiers and as many as 120 press organizations from around the world – including broadcasters from Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia and Japan.
“I’m a big supporter of this movement,” she said. “America is ready for another revolution.”
Palin applauded Scott Brown’s recent Senate win in Massachusetts.
“Scott Brown represents what this beautiful movement is all about,” she said. “He was just a guy with a truck and passion to serve our country. It took guts, and it took a lot of hard work. But with grass-roots support, Scott Brown carried the day.”
Palin warned tea partiers not to let the movement be defined by one leader or politician.
“The tea party movement is not a top-down operation. It’s a ground-up call to action that is forcing both parties to change the way that they’re doing business,” she said.
She said Americans are discouraged by what they see in Washington, and the “Obama-Pelosi-Reid agenda” is leaving the nation less secure, deeper in debt and more submissive to big government.
Tea partiers told ‘Obama has ignored history, apologized to Arabs, pursued socialism’
NASHVILLE – Citing American patriots such as Thomas Paine, James Madison, Samuel Adams and Patrick Henry, Judge Roy Moore lit a fire in the hearts of tea partiers tonight – inspiring four impassioned standing ovations with his reading of a “bill of particulars” against President Obama.
Moore, WND columnist, author of “So Help Me God” and candidate for governor in Alabama, began by quoting Thomas Paine as he made his case for independence from England:
“These are the times that try men’s souls,” he told a packed banquet room at the first national tea-party convention in Nashville.
“Once again we live in a trying time, not just trying to the souls of men and women, but the soul of our nation,” he continued. “Once again, people across our country are rising up, tired of politics as usual, angry about the direction of our country.”
The recent elections in New Jersey, Virginia and Massachusetts send a strong message to the Democratic Party that Americans are weary of the direction in which the nation is headed, he said.
“Equally, if not more importantly, the election in New York sent a strong message to the Republican Party that we’re tired of liberal Republicans who don’t hold the principles of their party,” he told a cheering crowd.

Moore condemned “senseless treaties” like the North American Free Trade Agreement, or NAFTA, and the Central America Free Trade Agreement, known as CAFTA. He said the nation’s borders have been opened to criminals and terrorists, the Constitution discarded, the federal government grown in size and scope “far beyond anything our founders ever imagined,” and the nation’s debt is soaring.
“Our state sovereignty, routinely ignored by an all-powerful federal bureaucracy, and our concept of virtue and morality has been distorted and twisted to a point that good is now called evil, and evil is now called good,” Moore said. “I’ll tell you, ladies and gentlemen, we not only find ourselves in a great economic recession, but in a great moral and spiritual depression as well.”

The convention attendees took to their feet as the room instantaneously exploded in cheers.
“I admit that often it is not easy to identify those responsible for these ills in our society, for they call themselves Democrats and Republicans,” he continued. “They call themselves conservatives and liberals. They pose as Christians and non-Christians.”
However, Moore said those responsible have a few things in common.
“They hate our country and our past,” he said. “They have no regard for our beloved Constitution. They have a love of wealth and power more than of liberty and freedom.”
He added that they have yet another thing in common: They don’t quit.
“One of those who said he didn’t quit is our current president, Barack Obama,” Moore noted.
He then began to paraphrase the Declaration of Independence. But rather than addressing grievances to the king of Britain, Moore presented Obama with his own “bill of particulars”:
He has ignored our history and our heritage, arrogantly declaring to the world that we are no longer a Christian nation. He’s elevated immorality to a new level, setting aside the entire month of June last to celebrate Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender pride.
He now threatens to change our law, 10 U.S.C. Section 654, to allow homosexuality in our military in direct opposition to the law which says that the attempt to engage in homosexuality will create an unacceptable risk to the high standards of morale, good order and discipline and unit cohesion that are the essence of military capability.
He has apologized to the Arab world for our past, subjugated our national sovereignty by bowing down to the king of Saudi Arabia.
He has pursued a socialist agenda by taking control of private companies and pushing a national health-care plan with a public option. Backed by a willing Congress, he has bought off our senators and our representatives with our own money in an effort to mandate this agenda. And when opposed by members of the Senate, he smugly smiled and said, “I won.”
Moore concluded his list with a direct quote from the Declaration: “A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.”

Once again, the crowd went wild with applause.
Then Moore recalled a moving speech from another famous patriot – Patrick Henry.
“Our chains are forged!” he declared. “Their clanking may be heard [in the halls of Congress] on the plains of Boston! The war is inevitable – and let it come! I repeat, we must let it come.
“It is in vain, sir, to extenuate the matter. Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace – but there is no peace. … Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? … Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!”
The room erupted in cheers and booming applause once more – this time lasting several minutes.
Yesterday, The Hill reported that Patrick (”Patches”) Kennedy took a swipe at Scott Brown:
Scott Brown’s (R-Mass.) election has been shown to be “a joke,” the son of the late Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) said Thursday.
Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.) castigated Brown for having pushed to be sworn in ahead of schedule to permanently fill the Senate seat left vacant by the congressman’s father’s death in August.
“Brown’s whole candidacy was shown to be a joke today when he was sworn in early in order to cast his first vote as an objection to Obama’s appointment to the NLRB,” Kennedy said Thursday.
Today Howie Carr of the Boston Herald reviews the Kennedy family’s “greatest hits” as he reports that Patrick’s reelection to Congress from Rhode Island is in jeopardy:
Maybe someday you’ll have a new generation of Kennedys to cover up for, to point out how they are turning their lives around after (fill in the blank) a cheating scandal, a drug scandal, a rape accusation, a blonde in the pond, an overturned Jeep on Nantucket, an extramarital affair with a polo player, a drug overdose, a waitress sandwich . . .
Not only that, but yesterday we learned that the last of them in Congress, Patrick “Patches” Kennedy of Rhode Island could be knocked out of office. A new WPRI-TV poll showed him with low 35 percent approval rating, and 62 percent disapproval.
